The Safest Safety Valve

January 9, 2013

Universal Valve Co’s safety valves are the most complete and longest-lasting on the market. Our valves come ready to install with no additional components required.

The Universal Valve Double Poppet Emergency Shut-Off Valve has the only three piece design in the industry, with two independent seals to increase safety while reducing future labor and replacement costs. There is no need to purchase expensive replacement poppet tops, meaning you could save over $300 per unit should you ever need to replace it.

And of course with safety as a priority, the Double Poppet Safety Valve is designed to immediately stop fuel flow in the event of fire or collision at the dispenser. This prevents fuel leakage into sumps and the addition of more fuel to a burning fire. With an upper and lower seal on the Double Poppet, this valve does not require draining before replacement and ensures a 100% liquid tight seal. The Double Poppet is zinc plated for maximum corrosion resistance.

You cannot afford not to invest in Universal’s safety valves — to keep your station, your staff and our customers safe.

Universal’s Signage Reaches More Customers at the Pump

December 26, 2012

Universal Valve Co is not just about the parts you need to keep gas flowing at your service station — we offer many other products to enhance the experience for your customers and help drive business to you.
Our complete line of pump-based signage increases profits by strategically utilizing existing space to target a captive audience. Our Pump Topper, Bumper Board and Walli signs will get your message across clearly and visibly.

The Pump Topper is designed to mount to the top of fuel dispensers. This sign grabs customers’ attention as they prepare to refuel their vehicles and is best used to advertise special offers in your convenience store. The Pump Topper is constructed of sturdy, custom-painted aluminum and its side-loading feature makes it easy to change your messages whenever you want.

Our Bumper Board signs mount on existing bumper guards that are already in place to protect your pump. The average consumer takes six minutes to fuel his/her car and a bumper board provides great space to advertise while they wait. Our epoxy coated steel frames stand up to the worst of weather.
The Walli is designed to mount to any window, wall or vertical space to highlight current offers and specials. This also easily utilizes existing space and turns it into an ad. Epoxy coated steel frames on our Wallis are made to last!

Bollards Protect Your Investments

November 7, 2012

Mother nature has made life quite hectic in our neck of the woods these days! First Hurricane Sandy did a lot of damage here in New Jersey and then the aftermath has included massive cleanup, power restoration and long lines at gas stations.

Bollards and pipe guards from Universal Valve can be useful in protecting your business during all facets of a major weather event. Our products, especially taller bollards, can surround sensitive equipment to protect it from airborne debris that go flying during high winds. This would also give you peace of mind that your investments are protected should weather keep you away from work for an extended period of time.

With people running generators and service stations out of power, one of the challenges facing the New Jersey/New York area is a rush for gasoline. This has led to long lines that are very difficult to manage. Bollards and pipe guards can help control traffic at your service station, diverting cars, and can protect pumps when you have long lines for gasoline.

We hope everyone stayed safe through the storm and has power restored!
